The wineries

Which winery you choose for your visit certainly depends on the more favorable location or on the wine region you prefer.

San Filippo - Montalcino

The four vineyards - La Storta, Le Raffiche, Le Lucére and La Smarrita - are located in the eastern part of the Montalcino wine-growing region and enjoy an excellent location. The area is characterized by a fresh climate with ideal day-night temperatures, and is therefore particularly suitable for growing the Sangiovese grape. The wines tend to be more elegant and refined than strong in taste. The philosophy of San Filippo is to make wine "in the vineyard"; Organic and chemical fertilizers were banned completely, because the wines are supposed to create themselves without artificial help.
