Alvin's Risk sounds just like Skrillex

    • Tanja La Croix - Wolfy (Warner)

    • "I can't be without House for a day."

Unusual sentence for a delicate blonde with perfect make-up and a model past - but a completely normal sentence for a Swiss star DJ and producer who hangs up all over Europe and can hardly save herself from inquiries.

Tanja La Croix is both: a darling of the international club scene and a true professional at the turntables.

She plays in the most renowned clubs in the world: whether as a resident DJ of the Playboy party series in the top location Blue Marlin on Ibiza, in the Queen Club on the famous Champs-Élysées in Paris, at the opening of Nikki Beach in Marbella, at the official Red Bull Formula One after party in Valencia or on the roof of a high-rise building in the White Club, Beirut.

The DJane from St. Gallen beguiles the jet set and the professional world with her charm as well as with her first-class sets.

No wonder that Warner Music signed Tanja La Croix last fall and is now releasing a brand new club single called “Wolfy” that lives up to her reputation as a DJ queen.

The track was co-written by Doves, the highly regarded indie rockers from Manchester, who have already posted # 1 in the UK album charts twice - the remixes come from the globally networked producer duo Milk & Sugar and the hip Hamburg trio DBN.

Tanja La Croix's first release on Warner is sure to be a rocket launch and the absolute highlight in her DJ set.

    • Umami - Sunny (Ultra)

    • Originally written by Bobby Hebb and published in 1966, "Sunny" is one of the most frequently covered compositions and was ranked 25th in the top 100 songs of the last century by the performance rights organization BMI because of its gigantic worldwide success.

Umami's version of "Sunny" increases the tension from the rich deep house intro to the climax of warm R&B vocals and funky bass lines and confidently turns the classic into an extremely relaxed masterpiece.

Umami started in a basement studio near the Baltic Sea coast, where Robert and Sam met for the first time.

Initially on the road in different bands, it took a while until they started producing together and performing in clubs and at open airs in Berlin, but their contribution to the constantly changing electronic scene quickly became obvious.

And that's not the latest, extremely loud tech house sound or the chic, hip sound of the percussions, which will stay the same for the next twenty releases - nor a bunch of samples that come with a "state of the art" house- Beat can be combined.

It is the desire to write and compose techno songs.

Not tracks, songs! Songs that are dedicated to the intensity of electronic dance music and at the same time are driven by a feeling for real composing.

Just in time for the beginning of spring, Umami deliver the perfect soundtrack with "Sunny" for a deeply relaxed awakening from hibernation.

    • Afrojack vs. Thirty Seconds To Mars - Do Or Die (Remix) (Virgin)

    • They have always had a weakness for extraordinary places and constellations, and so the album "Love Lust Faith + Dreams" by Thirty Seconds To Mars is the result of an extensive journey: The US band around Jared Leto wrote and recorded it in May 2013 album released in various corners of the world - in addition to his own studio in California, for example, also in Europe and India - whereby the front man produced a large part of this LP on his own.

The success of this creative work was the highest German chart entry the band has ever had (# 3).

"Do Or Die" was the name of the second single, which featured spherical synth sounds, a rousing hook and a huge choir. Above all, the danceable electronic elements stood out and turned the song into an epic sound work of art.

    • Die Fantastischen Vier feat. Don Snow aka Jonn Savannah - 25 (Sony)

    • Twenty-five years of “Die Fantastischen Vier”! Silver wedding anniversary!

That sounds incredible. Have Thomas D, Michi Beck, Smudo and And.Y really been with us for so long? And have we really already experienced so much with them, been through and through them? At band anniversaries, the bands actually thank their listeners. It is high time to return this thank you.

Thank you for the pioneering achievement, not just being the first to be chartered with a real German rap single (and the corresponding album "Vier wins") and on that album also the manager Andreas "Bär" Läsker with his own verse in "Dicker Sweater" thoughtful and thus (to this day unbroken) to have made the secret fifth band member, but also and above all for having willingly taken the beating for the first advertising deal when “Die da ?!” went to an orange juice manufacturer.

Let's raise our glasses for a group that has been reinventing itself again and again and has never shied away from the risk of sometimes challenging people and listeners with it, and possibly even overwhelming them.

Thanks for proving that you don't even have to say things to tell them, not even in rap.

The Fantastic Four don't trust the status quo. If you've achieved it all, then you just haven't looked enough. After twenty-five years, Thomas D, Smudo, Michi Beck and And.Ypsilon may have seen and experienced a lot, but one thing is still far from: fed up. The Fantastischen Vier didn't show up to stop. The friendship of these four different types, the symbiosis between the characters, the unity that these four Swabians form, is a creativity roller that, whatever you try, simply cannot be stopped. The association bomb that is set off when the men bind themselves in the same room explodes anew every time and the ashes that then snow down on us, in the form of a new album, are only the tip of the iceberg. The new, ninth record from the creativity cosmos of the four is called "Record": It will surely break many of them again. But never enough to silence the band. The anniversary single "25" proves again very well why the Fantastischen Vier can still be expected in 2014 as well. The electronic beat pumps out of the speakers and fills the dance floor in the mind's eye. Anyone who can sit still to do so has never danced. In the text they also explain what they think they are about the anniversary: Something between rap zombies and legends. And close with the words: "Been there for so long, fuck champagne."

For these 25 years one can simply say: cheers! For the next 25!
