What are the weaknesses of Fighting Pokemon

Pokémon GO: Explained strengths and weaknesses of the type

Every Pokémon featured in Pokémon GO falls under one (or in some cases two) of a total of 18 categories, or as the game calls them, “Types”. All attacks and movements in Pokémon GO also fall under one type. A Pokémon can be of one type or two, and the type a Pokémon belongs to determines a number of things about that Pokémon, what types of Pokémon it is strong and weak, and what types of movements it makes where the Pokémon goes can be found in the real world and how effective the Pokémon is in battle.

Each type of Pokémon and attack is strong against some types, weak against some, and neutral against others. While the type of a Pokémon has a lot to do with where that particular Pokémon is in the real world and what types of attacks it is weak against, it is the types of the Pokémon's two attacks (a tap attack and an attack attack) that ultimately determine what types of Pokémon it is strong against and what types of Pokémon it is weak against.

Like the Pokémon anime and Pokémon games, Pokémon GO features all of the 18 types of Pokémon and Pokémon attacks / moves currently in existence. These types are fire, grass, water, ice, rock, ground, flying, clairvoyant, normal, poison, beetle, steel, ghost, combat, electric, dark, dragon, and fairy.

In Pokémon GO, Pokémon types and Pokémon attack types play an extremely large role in combat in the gym. If one of the attack types of a Pokémon is strong against the opponent's Pokémon, that attack will be very effective and will do 20% more damage to the opponent's Pokémon. However, if one of a Pokémon's attack types is weak against the opponent's Pokémon type, that attack will not be effective and will do 20% less damage.

How Pokémon types and movement types work in Pokémon GO is a little different from the regular Pokémon games, but the gist is still the same. While battling gyms in Pokémon GO, the best strategy is to use a Pokémon that is of one type or has a strong pull against the opponent's Pokémon's type to increase the damage done to the opposing Pokémon and Using a Pokémon against which the opposing Pokémon type and / or the opposing Pokémon attack types are weak.

The strengths and weaknesses of each Pokémon type and attack in Pokémon GO are listed and described below.

Note: If a particular type of Pokémon or movement is neither strong nor weak against a particular type, it will neither increase nor decrease the damage it does while fighting the enemy type.
