How do I assemble a poster

Attach posters - the best tips

In addition to canvases, photos and acrylic paintings, posters are particularly suitable for making interiors more homely. If you want to attach a new poster, there are various options available to you. We have put together the best tips for you in our new article.

This is how you can attach your posters

Once you have decided on a new poster, all you have to do is find a suitable place for the new decoration. Depending on the requirements, there are more or less suitable options for permanently attaching the poster. Here's how you can do it:

  • Adhesive strips are particularly suitable for securely attaching posters to smooth walls or doors. However, this poses a problem: If the adhesive strips are attached to the edges, they are often visible and look unattractive. This can be remedied by a double-sided adhesive tape that you can simply attach to the back of the poster.
  • Tacks are another option. You can attach them to the corners of your poster and pin them to the desired surface, if this allows it. The thumbtacks are also visible, however, and holes remain in the poster and on the surface, which makes them unsuitable for some purposes.
  • Special poster adhesives are also a way of affixing posters in the home. They have two advantages: they can usually be removed without leaving any residue, and poster stickers are usually attached to the back of the poster, which is why they are not visible.
  • If you want to try something extraordinary, you can also stick your poster on a wooden board or a cork board. Wallpaper paste, for example, is ideal for this. Once that's done, you can simply nail the board to the wall.
  • Alternatively, you can also frame your posters. As a result, they usually look higher quality, and they can also be simply nailed to the wall. Suitable poster frames are available online for this purpose.
  • If you change your posters frequently, small magnets are often a practical and invisible solution. To do this, attach magnets to the corresponding wall as well as to the back of the respective poster. So you can exchange your posters regularly.
