Greek men are passionate

10 reasons why you should date a Greek person

Is a Greek really like My Big Fat Greek Wedding portrays it? Well, it's pretty much accurate to be honest. The Greeks are very social and even the smallest event requires a festival in the grandest possible way. Do you need more persuasion? Here are 10 reasons why you should date a Greek person.

They will always want to show you a good time

Greeks are fun-loving, social and know how to party. So when you are with a Greek person you can be sure that you are going to have a good time. Drinks on a Monday or Tuesday are not uncommon and a spontaneous evening with friends is never out of the question. From family reunions to dining with your partner's best pals, you'll quickly understand what life in Greece means.

You are spending your summer vacation in Greece

Can you imagine spending your vacation in Greece? Get to know the best spots that tourists don't know and have your own guide? Yes it is possible when you are with a Greek. Of course, things have to be serious before your partner invites you to join, but once you have a stable relationship you can be sure that you will spend summers with the family at home, or at least some time in Greece.

You don't sweat the little things

Arrived on your date 10 minutes late? No big deal! The Greeks are pretty relaxed and don't care about the little things. As long as you get there and have a good time, the time you get there doesn't really matter.

You will always have delicious food in the fridge

Whether your partner is doing the cooking, or when his mom sees you with a Tupperware filled with scraps of food after a family dinner, be sure there is always food on the table (or in the fridge) during those busy weekdays, when you don't make it time for dinner.

They will always offer a helping hand.

Whether their boyfriend is sick or has a flat tire in the middle of nowhere, Greeks will do whatever they can to help them. Ever lost when you were visiting a place in Greece and had to ask a stranger for directions? Chances are that this person helped you find your way and maybe even took you away. That's the way the Greeks are, they love to help and will never refuse.

You will be showered with affection.

Greeks are a proud nation. So if you are with a Greek woman and things are going well, she will be very affectionate and show you her friends and family as a friend. Greek men, passionate as they are, will do the same. They will spontaneously compliment you, tell you how beautiful you are, and show their affection by getting you out and treating you like a queen.

They are not afraid to talk about their feelings

Greeks, as a Mediterranean people, love passion and are not afraid to say what they think and feel. So they won't be afraid to express their feelings, often with big, dramatic words and gestures (after all, they invented drama), or even dedicate songs to them. The same goes for arguments.

If you pass the parenting test, you will win a whole family

For the Greeks, the family is sacred, so it is very important to have a good relationship with them. So, if it's serious and you pass the family test (and more specifically, if the mom likes you) then know that you are being treated as an integral member of the family.

They are passionate lovers

Maybe it's her southern temperament, or maybe it's just in her genes, but know the stereotype that Greeks are passionate lovers is true. If you are a little bit adventurous and like to keep things sharp then you are definitely well on your way to finding yourself a Greek woman or man.

If you prefer to be traditional, do yourself a treat

Greek men love to take responsibility so that they can look after their families. They won't mind having a partner who works because these days two salaries are better than one, but they also value a woman who takes care of their home and children. In the same way, like many women, Greek women like to take care of themselves and expect their husband to take responsibility and access data for the bill.
